I hope I’ve done this justice. Every bust, every portrait of this man shows a different face. And none of them is easy to capture in outlines– at least, not for an amateur. I remember reading a comment by a friend of Braille who said that Braille wouldn’t have appreciated being remembered with his eyes closed. However, I dared not place pupils where I didn’t see any.
